As a leader, it’s important that your team understand that mistakes will happen. It’s how you fix those mistakes and your willingness to take accountability that speak’s to one’s integrity. Lead by example and own your mistakes. No excuses. No placing blame. Apologize, fix it and learn from it. Add the mistake to your list of what not to do for future reference.
