About Me

Lisa K. Greer

I am a freelance writer in the southern Indiana area with over 20 years of experience in business, non-fiction and fiction writing. I co-own a business, Olive Tree Enterprises, LLC, with my husband, Kim. Olive Tree is focused on our artistic mediums, which include writing, of course, but also woodworking, sewing and other fiber crafts, as well as photography. To learn more about Olive Tree, visit www.olivetreeenterprisesllc.com.

My writing history includes, but is not limited to, ghost writing, letter writing, resumes, product descriptions, website content, business profiles, press releases, internal/external communications, process manuals, speeches, presentations and promotional material. Aside from business writing, I have had over 300 articles published in print and online. Credits include feature article writing for magazines and newspapers, how-to articles and e-How articles. I have been a regular columnist for an area newspaper, covering legal issues, technology, politics and local area government. One of my favorite publications is Southern Indiana Living Magazine, so I became a regular contributor from 2008-2014. This magazine features stories of extraordinary people and businesses in the area where I live, which is exciting to me. I have also co-authored a book, Baby Boomers: Secrets for Life after50.

In addition to freelance writing, I am a contract negotiator and am a subject matter expert in this area, with a focus on technology contracts from a global perspective. I take a solutions-based approach to negotiating and writing contract language so the contract best fits the business deal.

In my free time, I love spending time with friends and family, including our six grandkids and our three fur babies, a Great Dane, a Labrador Retriever and a MastiDane. I also volunteer on the committee of an annual writers conference in Elizabethtown Kentucky. I spent 2017 as the coordinator, and will be moving to the executive board of this 501c3 organization for a three-year term starting in 2018. We have seen so many successful writers emerge from this conference, and I’m proud to be a part of it. For more on that, visit www.kychristianwriters.com.
